I am a non-trad applicant to MD schools. I have excellent experiences and will include them in my app. My only question is about which clinical activities to record.
I have 4 distinct clinical/patient research experiences, each of which resulted in publications and included diverse shadowing opportunities and patient interaction. Together, the experiences demonstrate sustained interest over years.
My question is: do I need to include the standard "shadowing" or "patient volunteering" experiences instead of highlighting other, more competitive experiences I can list? I have 15 experiences altogether, and the remaining 11 are divided amongst leadership, health-focused internships, community service, and work experience.
