Returning to work after an injury/procedure, wanting to ease back in. Live in a large metro area, worked for the largest group in area prior (lost position due to this problem) and looking for PT/locums work. Unfortunately that group doesn't have much... any advise for finding PT hours other than cold calling? I'm BC and have licenses for all 3 states in the metro area and clean malpractice/record and licenses.
Also, anyone had a good experience w/ any particular locums company?
Thirdly, any of you out for a while have an estimate of what % of academic and mix academic/community jobs have 8-9 hour shifts?
Thanks a bunch... this is an unenviable crappy situation FWIW. had an injury misdiagnosed during my prelim year... had i known what it was, would have probably not done EM. i enjoy my work, but i'm young and already have an older person's injury b/c of an accident.
