Why would this necessarily be a bad move?

I am on the verge of sending one to my top choice PRE-INTERVIEW.

I am not sure that completely I agree with the "leverage" theories put forth. Be honest and just put 'em on the table! You're only ethically held to a letter of intent if they accept you.

I don't think it is a bad thing. Plus, at this time, I don't think schools have access to how many schools you have been accepted to.
