I have been fortunate enough to get accepted into my state med school this past week, which I am thrilled about. But a couple of my top choices are still conducting interviews through first week of April, and I am wondering if a letter of interest might be worth a shot this late in the cycle. These schools are receptive to updates. If I were to send one, should I include the fact that I am admitted as well as the school name?

It's March.

Congrats on your acceptance.

Congrats on your acceptance. Many March-April interview slots are vacated as applicants are accepted to their top choices or receive great financial aid. I'd definitely send letters of interest to schools hoping they might fill one of those late vacated spots with you. I don't think there's a need to mention your acceptance.

Thanks for correcting, Gonnif! Just didn't want OP to miss out on dream school over it being too late to send LOI.

Thanks! I will try sending a couple LOIs out by today, and if the schools consider the letter then great. If not, I'll be happy knowing that I tried all that I could!
