i dont think they're interviewing yet cuz the deadline isnt over until the 15th of december. i dont think they do rolling admissions either... or do they?
 
i guess i forgot about the december deadline because i submitted everything in august or october. thanks for the reminder. i think you are right, and they don't have the rolling admissions process.....i read a thread about how they notify and interview applicants in march or something like that......so i think you are right about that one.........

They already invited their first group of interview invites. I believe the first interview is 1st week of December. My gf goes to LLU so I get some inside info. =) Nothing for me yet though.
 
Really? I emailed them and they said they would not contact anyone until December or January!
 
LLU admissions is usually slower than most schools. I visited the office last year with my gf and it's literally a small office with 2 desks with a HUUUUUGE filing bin of applications against the wall. And you have 2 people working/reviewing them.

They easily get backed up. ALL of the P2's I know (around 10-15) told me they were interviewed and accepted between March-May. There were a few who said they got in January and they were early applicants.

Regardless of their timeline, just don't expect to hear from LLU until early 2007.
 
i called LLU yesterday, they said that they will start contacting people starting next week.

I turned in my app the day before Oct 15th.. so I made the early deadline I think and I haven't heard a thing yet.
 
Wow! They only give you a week notice?

That sucks for people who have finals coming up soon.

How did they contact you?
 
LLU is great. They usually give you less than a week notice, BUT they give you a call 2-3 days after your interview to let you know the results (if they accept you).

I remember my gf a few years back. It was mid-March and things didn't look so good for her. On a random Friday, she got a phone callfor an invite, interviewed next Wed, and by Friday she was in. It happened all so fast for her.

Oh wow congrats everyone! Do you guys mind sharing your stats? You could PM me if you want, I'm just really curious what they're looking for... high GPA, lots of EC's, religious background?

so do they let you know if you dont get in?? just curious!
 
They called.

I have a 3.4
I've worked at local pharmacy and I have a lot of extracurricular activities.
I am Christian.

They'll eventually send out a letter or email notifying you if you're wait-listed, but I am not sure. Everyone who gave me this info got accepted. They give you a call and/or send you an email within a few days with the acceptance.

3.8 GPA w/ BS in Health Science
No pharm experience

I just got a call from LLU for an interview on Jan 4.

My stats:
Graduated w/a B.S. in 2006
3.2 cum
3.0 sci
Lots of ECs.
Catholic 😀

okay... that's kind of encouraging to hear 👍 at least there's still hope.

Hey guys!

Wow, I haven't been on SDN in such a long time!
I'm just barely finishing up my first quarter at LLU (last final tomorrow) and then it's FOUR weeks of winter break! So far I am having a great time and am loving it here. 🙂

Anyway, just thought I'd send out some helpful info about the interviews...
There are a couple scheduled right now and they are: Dec. 8 and Jan. 4, 12, 19. So far they have received about 1600 apps. Don't freak out, everyone here is super nice. There is no essay writing portion (or at least, that's how it was last year) and they also feed you a yummy lunch. One of my friends told me that once you get an interview invite, you're pretttyyy much in unless you royally screw up. I'm not sure if that's true, but it does seem like a good chunk of ppl from my interview group got in last year.

If you need any advice or want to know about anything about the school, just go ahead and send me a PM.

the school recieved 1600 applications so far...but they only interview about 300-400 applications from the 1600 apps or may be a little bit more than that. LLU probably accept about 65 students to the program.

Had my interview yesterday...There was a short writing session where they asked to define your mission in life or something around that...personally my interview was really easy since i actually got accepted last year and declined they just wanted to know why and told me since nothing big had changed about me in the past year, i'd probably be getting in again this year...Feel free to PM for any other questions
 
I'll be interviewing at LLU on the 19th of January. I know they also have openings for Feb 2nd.
 
Hey guys!

I just wanted to know for the people who got interviewed, when did you turn your applications in?
 
I turned it in October 14th, I think just a day before their early priority deadline. I was suprised my interview date is on the 4th, the person the phone said an opening just occured and they called me.

I had to move my interview date to the 19th of January because I had first day of lab on the 4th and my professor said I could make it up by attending lab on the 3rd, but its just too hectic driving to socal and being tired and whatnot plus I had work that day. Bwah I kind of regret moving the date but I just didn't want all that stress :scared:
 
got a question about the essay portion of the application. is the one page limit per question or one page limit for all 4 questions?

According to LLU admissions:

The personal statement should be approximately 1 page in length for all four questions. Please single space and you can choose the font of your liking.

I'm canceling my interview for Loma Linda on Jan 4 because I'm pretty sure I'll be going to Western.

I'm calling tomorrow morning so there will be an extra spot for the Jan 4 interview.
