How important is religious preference in LLU?

I'm thinking that specific religious preferences are definitely green flags on an app to loma linda, but they do take other things into account, and many are accepted that do not have the specific religious preference of interest. Sorry to add another question, but do you know If it is mandatory to get a letter from a religious affiliate, or more so optional?

^good question. i'd like to know that as well

a bulk of my community service is for my temple, but i don't know if i'd be able to get a letter. thats the only thing thats holding me back

Yea, I manged to get one from a "religous affliate" last year, but the letter was awkward to get, and frankly annoying. I really would like to find out, because If not I wont even bother.
