hey guys!

I have an "interview" tomorrow with Longs for a pharmacy clerk position. THey told me they wanted me to come by to "look around" and talk more about the position and my availability. What should I wear? What is considered appropriate and presentable, yet not over- or underdressed?

1. Dress pants with dress shirt
2. Jeans with nice shirt and pointy heels? Can I even WEAR jeans!?!

3. Other suggestions?

Thanks everyone! (Can you tell I'm a bit nervous for the interview?)

Don't wear jeans. Go with Option 1.

Over-dressed is better than under. Definitely go w/ option 1. 👍

Whoops. I had an interview with Giant Eagle and I just wore my regular street clothes. Jeans and a short sleeve shirt with a long sleeved one under that. 🙁

Wear choice A. The uniform at Longs Drugs is black pants.

If you past the personality test, they'll offer the position to you. Really, you probably have no competition. It's so difficult to hire clerks for pharmacy. It'll come down to whoever passes the personality test. A lot of people fail the personality test, so take it as if you are the most pencil-neck god-fearing person on earth. Even if it says something ridiculous like, "If your family was dying, would you steal medication to save them?" Pick D: Absolutely Not.

Then there is computer training that takes a full day and a half if you get the job. When you get to the Medicare D training, take good notes and PRINT out the Medicare glossary. The glossary with help you past the test, which you only have two chances to pass, or so they say. Take notes of the most important parts. This will be the hardest part of the training.

Tuesdays at Longs Drugs is hell. For whatever reason, the crazy people all come in on tuesdays. If the customers yell at you, just think "whateva!" People will yell at you, especially on tuesdays and if you work in a rich spoiled area. If you have questions, pm me.

Thanks everyone for your advice! I will definitely bust out with my business casual gear, with a little makeup of course =)

Thanks laquotes for your insights about the personality test and the note-taking for the computer/Medicare training.

I'll let you guys know how it goes tomorrow!
