My prof sent the LOR through mail ... how long does this usually take? Does it have to go through a similar line as the verification for amcas primaries?

In the past, LORs would be added to AMCAS more or less as soon as they are received. They do not go through the same process as AMCAS verification. I'm assuming you printed out the letter form from AMCAS and included that with your letter?
