I have a major red flag on my application to residency. One or two of my LORs will help clear that up, not absolve me of it but clear it up a bit. I got the letter writer the face sheet this week. it is addressed in my personal statement as well

My question is should i submit ERAS tomorrow or wait on the letter writer to submit a full application.

There isn't an easy answer to this, as it probably depends on the circumstances. If you're a US student, chances are programs that decide to consider your application will use your MSPE as the best source of information about the problem.

I think it's fair to look at it like this:

Some programs are going to reject you because of this red flag. Doesn't matter when letters arrive, you're not getting interviewed.

Some programs are going to consider you despite the problem. Those will wait until your application is complete to make a decision.

Asked my former PD he said apply. Former med school dean said wait as I am applying to FCM. AMG so gutonc can start compiling data on the Dr Nick stat.

I'm pretty sure most IMGs (at least the ones who aren't from the US) don't know who Dr. Nick is. Although I think Dr. Nick was an IMG himself... IIRC, he went somewhere in the Caribbean.

Oh yeah, I must have been thinking of The Todd from Scrubs.
