I know it looks like a dumb question, but I was wondering if there was a central place for the LORs to be sent? I feel kinda bad about asking my profs and MD/DO LOR writers to send a copy to every swingin' school I plan on applying to. Seems that there would be some kind of central service that would receive the LORs and certify them prior to shipping them out to the interested parties.

Anything like that out there? Or do I need to purchase one gross of envelopes and a bunch of stamps?

I would check with your career center. Here at UCLA, the CC has an LOR service where the profs send their letters to. Then you go online whenever you want to send the letter and pay the fee required to mail it/them out.

Yea, you should definately check with your school on this. At my school all the letters go to the advising center, and the you tell them where to send them.

If you're not in school anymore, or your school doesn't provide this service, you can probably send them to the schools you're applying to yourself. I'd check the AACOMS site to be sure.

check with the career center, here at UCR also there's a central service that seals the letters and sends them to designated schools.

DaveInDallas,

You can use a central place for you LORs. The website is www.interfolio.com.

Good Luck,
