I was looking back and found a thread about programs people loved or hated. I thought I would attempt to start one this year. Simply list programs you loved, liked or hated. No need to list reasons, but list them if you wish.

Loved: Indiana, OHSU (although worried about procedures???), U of Chicago, UNM, Davis.

Liked: Hennepin

I haven?t found a program I hated. Still have to visit Harbor, Jacksonville FL, Baystate, U Conn, Beth Israel and St Luke?s-Roosevelt.
🙄

Loved: Maryland, Maine, UMASS, Beth Israel Deaconess, UVA

Liked: Duke, Maricopa, Hopkins

Hated: None - I canceled at those I did not feel I would like.

Loved: USF, Maryland, Univ of FL, MetroHealth, Akron General, Allegheny General.

Liked: All the rest.

Hated: One program in particular. But since I don't have an anonymous user ID/persona (albeit a dated avatar) I will refrain from posting.

Q, DO

Loved: St. Lukes/Roosevelt (obviously), Beth Isreal (its in the East Village!)

Liked: Cornell-Columbia, UT-Southwestern

hated: one program. will refrain.

also cancelled a number of others that I thought I wouldn't like. I was ambivilent about a number of programs as well (didn't love but would have been fine going there. )

Oh come on people, I can't be the only one with the Ba##s to put up a program I hated.

Pre-match day? Yep! Plus, some of us are known (by IDs and/or profiles). Why burn a bridge based on a one day interview?

If you hated it, would you really want to rank it then?
Others might and will be interested in your view on a place. An interview day is a whirl and it is such a short period of time to see a place you might end up for three or four or five years. So others input on why they loved it or why they hated it is important.

My other opinion watch out the one single resident raping their own program, especially if the rest are happy about. He/she may have issues outside of the program itself. So if you get stuck talking to them, you might have a truly biased viewpoint of the program. Good luck to all.

Just because you "hated" a program on interview day doesn't mean that a. you won't rank them because "hey, they were better than scrambling into FP" or b. that you won't end up working with someone from there in the future. I guess I don't see the point in listing the negative here. Is my strongly negative opinion of a program really going to affect someone else's decision? Or does it just make me look bitter...?

Loved: Davis, Baystate, Henry Ford, UNM, Resurrection.

Liked: Regions, UTHouston, Beaumont, El Paso.

Didnt Like: all the others.

Loved: UVA, Maine, EVMS, Pitt, Carolinas, Wake, Allegheny

Liked: Duke(!), VCU, St. Lukes (Pa.), York.

Hated: Programs that didn't invite me....fu**ers!

Loved: Maryland, Christiana, Cooper

Liked: York, Jefferson, Temple, St. Lukes (in that order)

I still have Indiana, Pitt, Hopkins and UVA so hopefully I'll add a couple to the loved list and none to the hated list.

I think its just interesting to hear other people's opinions, that's all. That's what this SDN site is for, just word of mouth and people's opinions.

I.E. "Quinn are you really that hot?" Thread that was quite the popular one a while back.
