Hi,

I have low cGPA. I will be graduation in May. I am planning to retake some of my pre reqs in summer. How can i increase my cGPA. As one of the threads said, cGPA doesn't change after you graduate. How can i increase it to 3.0. Is it even possible?

Hello,

Unfortunately your cGPA does not change after you graduate but your pGPA does change if you take any prerequisites classes. A good recommendation is to apply to schools that look at the student as a whole, looks at the last 60 credits, or focus on your pGPA/GRE more than your cGPA.

This bit of information is incorrect. Your cGPA is "cumulative GPA". It absolutely changes after you graduate....it includes ALL classes you take. If you take more pre reqs or do a masters, all those courses count. Some people may be confused because a few schools out there look at "undergraduate GPA"....that GPA does not change after you graduate as all classes are then post-grad.

That is correct, I made the mistake on my previous post and confused cGPA with undergraduate GPA. My apologies.
