So I am currently taking cell biology, but there is a chance that I might end up with a C- in the class. One of my schools requires cell OR molecular biology as one of its pre-reqs. If I got a C- in cell biology, but I went on to take an upper division molecular biology class (I have one in mind if this plan somehow works) and hypothetically get a B in it, would the B in the molecular biology class kinda "cover up" my C- in cell biology? Or would I have to retake cell biology because of the C-?

Also with the letter of recommendation, my pharmacist is writing one for me and a pharmacist's LoR is required for a school I'm applying to (University of South Florida). Since the deadline to e-submit the application is 12/3, does this mean that I have to have my pharmacist's LoR before that date or can I submit my application right now and have the LoR be submitted at a later time? I read a thread that was posted 6 years ago that I could technically submit my application now and give my pharmacist some more time to write the LoR, but I don't know if that still applies nowadays. If I can submit my application now, how much extra time does this give my pharmacist?

Thanks

before that day, letter needs to be arrived at pharmcas.

I think molecular biology with B will be fine but molecular biology is MUCH MUCH harder than cell bio.

lot of applicants dont get this and end up delaying their apps. You can e submit before all LORs and PCAT scores are in. Just e submit and once pharmcas recieves the Lors they will automatically forward them to your schools. Also your lors and apps just have to be POSTMARKED before or on 12/3, they do not need to exactly arrive on said date

Okay I totally understand this part. Thanks.

This is what I don't understand. How does one postmark an e-LoR?

When pharmcas sends an LOR it is ELECTRONICALLY POSTMARKED at the date it was sent. Dont take everything so literally lol. Postmarked in this case just means the date it was sent by pharmcas.

Ugh this is all so freaking confusing!

Okay so I uploaded my pharmacist as a LoR writer on 11/17. I am allowed to submit my application today even if my pharmacist's LoR doesn't arrive on 12/3. If I submit my application now, this means that my pharmacist's LoR is electronically postmarked for today's date (12/2).

Am I on the right track? Cuz if not...😕

Your pharmacist would have to submit the LoR by 12/3 for it to count as meeting USF's deadline. You may esubmit to pharmcas without it for the date of your pharmcas app, however USF requires all LoRs and such to be submitted by then as well. You would be given extra time for the supplemental application however, since you will not receive that until your grades are verified. USF's committee meets in mid January, so you would have to work quickly. They are not a rolling admissions school.

They are a relatively new program without full accreditation (they have candidate status). However, they do have a well respected medical school and conglomerate of health programs. Take that to mean what you may... They don't have the connections a well established program would, nor the guarantee of full accreditation in the future, however, I wouldn't go so far as to calling them a diploma mill.

I'm debating whether to submit my app or not.. I think deadline is today.. :| gah.. I have low gpa.. 2.8.. but i'm already applying to a lot of schools
