and when did you submit your amcas (or when was the date that it was processed)?

are the essay questions for loyola long/hard?

i submited 6/16, transmitted 6/26 i think. and yes, they are long/hard.

Loyola does screen. They don't post on your AMCAS transmitted page that they downloaded it for awhile, but they do look at it online first. I'm not sure why, but I do know from that this was the same case in previous years. They give you about a month to complete the secondary.

Yes, Loyola does screen. I don't think anyone has received Pittsburgh yet. I was verified by AMCAS really early, on June 6, and received Loyola's secondary on 7/29. There are about 6 questions that require a paragraph or two to answer. It's questions like: what will you be doing during the upcoming year, talk about something hard that you went through.... I don't know the others exactly, but you've probably thought about or wrote about most of the stuff on other secondaries.

I can verify some things for you buddy..,..

I go to Loyola undergrad and have spoken to the dean....they don't screen.....they only screen to make sure that you have the basic requirements.....and you will get a secondary based on your time submitted for your amcas application...so for you, you will recieve it later......that's not a big deal.....they give each batch of people they send out a due date...like mine was due on the 25th. I've already submitted it........but if you want here are the questions.....and to make you feel better, I have a friend you will probably be accepted to Northwestern with stellar grades and MCAT who has yet to recieve their application.....

1. what do you consider a valuable experience in your personal development? This might be a decision you have made, an achievement of which you have made, an achievement of which you are proud, or a person who has influenced your life.
2. Describe briefly how you have dealt with a personal or academic problem you have encountered.
3. How did you reach your decision to enter medicine? Describe your participation in any health care or other activities which reinforced your decision.
4. What self-education, research or independent scholastic work have you undertaken and what do you feel you have accomplished in this work?
5. If you will not be enrolled as a full-time student during the current academic year, please explain what you will be doing prior to your planned matriculation into medical school.

There you go.....this application took me awhile!!!
