Marked complete but one LoR not submitted yet?

I noticed in the last couple of days, I've been marked complete at schools where I've completed secondaries and assigned the 5 LoR I have. The only thing is that 1 of those 5 letters hasn't been submitted to AMCAS by the writer yet. My writer plans to have it done in the next few days but I'm just surprised I was marked complete with a missing letter. Does this mean that these schools will not consider the letter even once it's submitted or will they just add it to my file upon receiving it? Thanks in advance!

It will likely be added to your file upon receiving it. We can't say for sure how each institution will operate though.

Without knowing the specific schools, the general thought from me is that your "required" letters have been received. Schools can take additional letters through the letter service if their policies allow.
