Im in the applying cycle and struggling with one class. Need some advice on how to play this out. This semester I got married, interviewed at 5 schools, getting surgery, and two of my tough classes are at the exact same time and day, so I am teaching myself microbial physiology. Overall I have missed like 12 days of class. I am doing well in physics and micro phys ( A- in each) but I am doing terrible in environmental appreciation, like a c. So with only my 12 credit semester, do I risk a possible C or take a W and drop to 8 credits. What Im really worried about is an acceptance being revoked because a c or w.

Applying with 21 dat, 3.8 gpa, overall strong ps, ec, lor.

I could possibly get a B in that appreciation class, but doubt it. The class is ridiculous, no structure, almost impossible to study for the test as the materials come from who knows where. The professor is an old man that just spends the class expressing his biased opinion on religion, politics, and some environmental topics. I wish I didnt take this class, I didnt even need it, kinda shooting myself in the foot.

I would be very surprised if they revoked your acceptance because you earn a C. Do your best. If you get a C, be proud of it given your circumstances.

Thanks for the reply's. I needed the conflicting classes to graduate or else I wouldn't have done it like that. I even talked to the department head and they just said good luck basically or take it at another school. I'm just going to hope for the best.

I wouldn't worry about this, it would only be a c, and it's not in a major course dental school s would be looking at. With ur gpa and dat don't stress yourself. Plenty of people would be happy to be in your position .
