Massaging pelvic "trigger points"

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
"Smith, a doctor of osteopathy, was treating a patient for pelvic pain. Smith allegedly convinced the patient that massaging her pelvic "trigger points" would alleviate the pain. During 2003, the patient repeatedly returned to Smith for "trigger point therapy", which soon turned into sexual intercourse. The patient contends that Smith told her the sexual contact was part of the medical treatment ..."

Hmmm ... maybe Dr. Smith was a fertility specialist

Anyway, glad they caught him and removed his license. Too bad he's not being criminally prosecuted for sex crimes (and thus have to register in many states as a vile sex offender).

Nice. This is exactly what we need. Makes us look great.

How come you never see the headline "Doctor of Osteopathy discovers miracle cure for cancer" ?

Cause it hasn't happened yet??

It's true though...I was rotating with a DME of an AOA hospital, and he invited me and the resident on service out for a couple of beers one night. I jokingly (or maybe not) suggested the local nudie bar....he responded, "Yeah, and we'll get in trouble, and I can see the headlines-'3 local osteopaths arrested.'"

Oh well...such is life. When you find that miracle cure, make sure they mention your degree in the headline.
