Does anyone else find it strange that programs find out where everyone they ranked matched but applicants don't find out who matched at the programs we ranked?

I don't think this is the case this year since my PD had no idea where I matched to after the Match Day. He had to ask me.

The information on where ranked candidates matched became available only today.

Nope. I saw where all of our ranked candidates matched Friday morning.

That is very interesting as this is directly from the NRMP site....

Match Results by Ranked Applicant

Match Results by Ranked Applicant displays a list of every applicant ranked on the program’s ROL and indicates whether the applicant matched and where, or if the applicant was unmatched, withdrew, or did not submit an ROL. The report also displays program summary information such as number of positions offered, number of applicants matched, and number of unfilled positions. An asterisk indicates applicants who matched to your program. This report is available the Monday after Match Week.

pd's can find out who they matched on wed, the day before match day. however, they are unable to tell this info to anyone. applicants find out thursday.

pd's also have access to a list every person who matches into a program (and possibly those who didnt match as well, but im not sure about this).

Yes, programs can see even those who didn't match.

I just looked at the printouts from this year. According to the date stamp on the lower right-hand corner, it was printed March 15 (Match Day). We have printouts for all candidates we ranked (both those who matched elsewhere and those who did not match at all) except for those who matched at our program.

Each page has the following data fields:
Applicant
Name: XXXXX YYYYYY (NRMP number)
School: ZZZZZZZZZZZZ (Med school number)

History of Matches
NRMP Main Residency Match
Status Matched Program Matched Institution Year
(Matched or Unmatched) - Lists Intern year first, advanced second

Waiver
(No waiver found or waiver found)

Violation
(No violation found or violation found)

If a candidate did not match, it says, "The applicant did not match in any previous NRMP match. The applicant may be offered a position in a future match."

Hope this helps!
