I am going through the Barron's PCAT book, and their math section seems to emphasize a lot of ... conversions. Like, knowing how to convert from ounces to pounds. Is that information we are going to have to memorize for the actual PCAT or if there is such a problem, are they gonna give us the conversion. It seems really dumb to ask so many questions about it...

Overall, the Barron's book seems too easy and there are a lot of mistakes in them. I have both the Barron's and Kaplan's borrowed from the library, and I am not impressed by Barron's. Anyone else feel that way?

Conversion is not something the PCAT will emphasize much on. In fact, I saw only one conversion problem on the PCAT yesterday and that was converting from milimeter to kilometer. So i recommend that you should focus on more conceptual stuff such as the log rules, derivatives, etc...

i think you are better off studying the kaplan and mcgrawhill book / dr. collins packets. There was not a lot of conversion on the august pcat. Only one question was on it which require you to convert lbs into kg.

Just know the basic conversions. Dont go crazy learning all of that, as mentioned..there was just a single conversion question on the Aug PCAT, and it merely tested you with the basics (which Im sure you already know by heart - nothing difficult).
