Matriculating DO school but then accepted to MD school?

I am in a situation where I've been waitlisted at the allopathic school across the street from me that I would love to go to, but I was accepted to a DO program across the country from me. Orientation starts in about one week to the DO school. Tuition isn't due until August 15th. If I am accepted to the MD program after I matriculate at the DO program, can I drop out and move back?

I understand AAMC will alert other allopathic schools of this action, but do AACOMAS and AAMC alert each other?
