Hi guys!

I am currently taking courses with TBR and using TBR for content review; however, I found that sometimes other books such as KP went more detailed into subjects such as GI tract and immunology than TBR does, and it really makes me wonder if I should stick with TBR for content review and just overall about which information I should focus on.

Any suggestion and response will really be appreciated thanks!

I'm enrolled in TBR course as well. Which site do you go to? Todd advised to stick with one source for content, but I like to integrate info from TBR with EK, and Kaplan sometimes too, depending on the depth of
the topic. I don't think the source really matters as long as you truly understand the topic in question. In some instances TBR gets so convoluted in metabolic pathways I resort to YouTube for a better explanation.

Hi!
I go to the one at Berkeley!

In terms of Biochem I believe that TBR has great content and yes it is hard to read sometimes since they just throw a bunch of information at you especially when talking about metabolic pathway.

My main concern is biology since I feel like sometimes TBR Bio does not provide enough detailed information like kaplan biology does (kaplan biology is just like a little textbook). Especially after doing the free standing questions after the chapter of immunology in TBR, I feel like it may be necessary to integrate info from other sources as well. Maybe those free standing questions are meant to be completed after the actual lecture?

I am using TBR for all the subjects right now and integrating TPR for psych/soc and Kaplan for biology.

Thanks!!

TO be completely honest, you should just stick with berkley for the science content now that you are already taking the course. I WOULD however try the ExamKrackers CARS strategy and take a look at the Khan Academy Psych/Soc 100 pg document.

The reason why I say just stick with it is- once you start taking practice exams (especially from the AAMC), you will start to realize how little content the MCAT actually tests- they give you almost everything you need in the passages, you just have to learn how to make sense of it and take the exam.
(this doesn't apply to discrete of course, but those tend to be easier).

Yes, I guess I am just worrying too much about the free standing question rather than focusing on the big picture...
