The actual mcat ps section is a good deal more difficult than the Kaplan ps section. Also, the scale is not as great. If you want an accurate representation of a ps section look at the aamc practice ps sections. They are all pretty representative of the real thing. As far as numbers go, it may seem like you need a calculator but if you are doing a calculation and you need one you may have made a mistake somewhere. The actual ps calculations are all pretty simple. The hardest thing you may have to do is end up dividing numbers by decimals, in which case you just estimate. For example, 18/0.7. That seems like you need a calculator but you can just round and to make the number easily divisible and that gives you an approximate answer which is close enough to pick the right choice
