I took the MCAT in August 99 but I am applying for the entering class of 2002 so I didnt send my scores to any schools at the time I took the test.

I cant remember exactly what I did, but I assume I released the scores to AMCAS since I got a score report and they won't release scores to individual without being released to AMCAS right?

Anyways, now that I will be applying this year, do I have to use an additional score report or will AMCAS automatically release my Aug. 99 MCAT to all of the AMCAS schools that I list on application this year?

I think you need to request that your scores be released again. It is a relatively easy process that I had to do this past year. I had taken the MCAT in 1997 and had my scores released at that time (including to the Texas schools). I applied this year and had to request an additional score report. I downloaded the form from the MCAT homepage and then sent it, along with a nominal fee (I think $10 or so) to the MCAT office.

Hey BioAggie...

Did any schools give you grief about the age of your scores? I understand some schools will not accept scores older than 2 years. Just wondering so I can advise correctly should the issue be raised in the future.

TIA...

No problem on the age of my scores. The closes I came to reaching the cutoff was with TCOM. They only accepted scores up to 3 years old, and I just made that. I think the other schools accept up to 4 years old.

I got interviews at 5 of the 7 schools applied to. Had I not made it in this year, I probably would have retaken the MCAT, just to be safe.
