So I have not received an acceptance yet and may have to reapply next year. I received a 520+ on my MCAT and 130+ on each of my subsections with the exception of CARS which I scored a 127 on. Is it possible that my low (relative to my other subsections) score in CARS negatively affected me in regards to receiving II and acceptances?

I'm in the exact same position actually (weird) and have plenty of interviews and acceptances, including to top schools. The 127 isn't the problem here! Let me know if you want to chat more about other parts of your app.

Yeah like others have said, it's definitely not because of your CARS section. It's due to something else...but what that is, none of us can tell you unless we know more of your app. If you want any advice, feel free to PM me.

I'm a bit confused, could you clarify some things?

Most of the top schools (yes, top 20), only get back to you around this time (like starting Feb, March). Like other than schools that explicitly said everyone will hear back by X-date, most said "a majority of our applicants only hear back by the end of March and April". Very few get interviews at UChicago, Stanford, Hopkins or UCSF like super super early, and are in the top 5% of those applicants, and then receive acceptances in December. If you have multiple interviews (I would say >= 3) in your top schools, then you should have a likely acceptance by April. I guess I'm not understanding why you're worried, when in reality, >70% of applicants only hear back from most of their schools in March/April.

No.
