I'm curious to know if medical schools recruit students based on MCAT scores similar to how SAT/ ACT scores where in high school. Are medical schools able to view everyone's scores and offer admission to those with the top scores? Can medical schools even recruit students whether referring to their MCAT score or some extracurricular activity for that matter?

I received a few secondary fee waivers after allowing the AAMC to release my MCAT score to schools. I doubt this makes a difference in the actual admissions decision though.
