Hello!

Just wanted to know if these 2 exams are the same thing or if they're different. Anybody know? Before I pay for practice exam 2... Thanks!

Sample test is the unscaled exam where all you can see is the % of questions you answered correctly. AAMC FL1 and FL2 are both scaled and give you a number that you can look at. I think the general consensus is that the sample test is a bit easier than the FLs, but I thought they were all fairly similar really.

So just to be clear, there aren't repeated questions, or the exact same passages in the sample test and FL2? Thanks!

Also the question banks seem ridiculously easy and the section bank is like extra hard. How am I supposed to gauge the real difficulty of the exam? I took the real deal mcat in september (but voided) and it seemed a lot more difficult than the question packs and full length 1.

No repeated questions (or at least not exactly -- similar themes/topics, obviously).

I'd strongly recommend shelling out for AAMC's FL1 and FL2. They're the most predictive of actual (scaled) exam scores.

I dunno, I just received my score from the May 13th MCAT, and for me and most other people, your actual score will likely be somewhere in the neightborhood of FL1 + FL2 (obviously, some outliers).

No question that the Q-packs are probably the easiest material. Don't use them to try to get a "feel" for the actual test. Use them just to test your familiarity with the topics they cover. Be on the lookout for questions you're just like "hey I don't know that".

The Section Banks are definitely harder, and I think pretty representative of the real MCAT. I think my MCAT may have had a few more "gimmes" than the Section Bank did, just like FL1 and FL2. But yea, the 2 full lengths are the best available predictors. IF you thought FL1 was super easy, you might just be well prepared!
