I average about a 32 on all my practice MCATS, I took many different types(companies) of practices test and studied extremely hard for 7 months as well as hired a tutor. I though the worst I did after taking the actual MCAT was a 30 or 31 and felt pretty good but when I received my scores I was shocked to learn I got a 3 in each section and a 9 overall. What could have cause this, I was not stressed or anxious at all could it have been a mistake in scoring. I took the test on Oct. 25

Your AAMC avg was a 32 and you scored 3/3/3 on your MCAT? And nothing happened during the test? Oh man I'd definitely ask for a regrade.

I promise you I am not lying about this, there would be no reason to lie about something like this

Wow. 7 months for a 9? Something must have happened to the computer during the test, maybe it didn't register some of the answers? I agree with everyone else, request a regrade immediately.

If true then something obviously went wrong on their end. I would be on the phone with them ASAP.

Then don't worry man, it can't be your fault. just pay the fees and request a regrade and get in touch with them. just wow. I've never seen such a discrepancy in my life.

ummm that's crazy. I feel like even if you randomly guessed on a lot of them, you could still get higher than that lol. And getting a 3 all across is a little fishy. I would request a regrade for sure.

Thank you for all the support and responses, I found out that only five percent of all the questions showed up as answered on my test because of problems with the computer! If this ever happens to you or someone you know in the future share this story and don't be heartbroken like I was.

So what's your real test score?

Awesome. Were they able to retrieve the answers?

the thought that they could now make a mistake in scoring exams is disconcerting. On practice tests, I would have to make sure every answer was chosen because sometimes it would deselect it.

Are you serious!? Cause this is exactly what kept happening with my test, every time my screen froze my answers were unchecked. The proctors couldn't "see" anything wrong on their side so all appeared fine to them.

The first time I see the 3/3/3 I knew something wrong with the network. Hopefully you are okay! I wish aamc could cancel this score and let u retake it for free.

Im just gonna have to retake the test because theres no way to prove to them I answered all of the question it just shows up that i left 95% of the questions blank which I know for a fact I didn't do, and Bactidoc my screen also froze and blanked for a second before i finished my test.

Is this "9" going to go on your record, though?! Or are they going to at least attach a note to it that they botched up?

This makes me wonder how many scoring errors there have been but not noticed since the level to which it happened has never been this extreme.

This. How many errors are there that go unnoticed? It's easy to catch them when its extreme but what about an exam where the error is a couple of points...scary
