Hey. I got a 15 on my diag. for Kaplan. Got a
23 on Full Length #1. Taking #2 this Thursday.
I did the Biology section of Full Length #6 and got a 4 (one more question would have given me a 5, still no consolation in that tho!). Supposedly Kaplan full lengths are harder than the real thing.

Don't let your Kaplan practice test score get you down. MANY people score much worse on those than they do on the real thing (myself included).

In my opinion, confidence is very important to being successful on the MCAT. Don't go in on test day thinking about your practice scores - admissions committees won't be seeing those. Just prepare as best you can and when the time comes, you'll be fine.

Good luck!

I'm a DPM taking the MCAT to become a DO or an MD. I haven't had these classes (physics, bio, chem) in over 10 years! Believe me, I'm wetting my pants, too!!

What's giving me the most trouble is the friggin' physics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Newtonian Mechanics just simply sucks copious bunny farts! And, I took O-chem in a 10 week summer course, which means that I didn't understand a thing! The only test I've taken so far is the on-line MCAT where I got a 7 on physical sciences. Not horrible.

I think what the previous poster said is the right thing. It's all about confidence! You know more than you think you do. Just go in there relaxed. You won't believe what'll come to your mind!

You ruined my night! I don't want to think about how close April 20th is because I still have to review EVERYTHING!

Good luck to all!

I was in your shoes last April and August and will be starting medical school this Fall.

I took Kaplan and it was my opinion that the scores on the final gives you a good indicatin of your MCAT score give or take 2 points.

The Kaplan exams were hard but not to scare you it helps you deal with some of the difficult passages that you'll soon have. No one likes it and its a grueling exam but you're almost there. Good luck all.

yo guys thanks alot for the tips and stories, atleast now i dont feel so bad. Anyway its 11 in the morning and i just got home from work.Time to go to kaplan and start studying still dinner. Well good luck to you all.

Mcat 3 WEEKS AND 1 DAY away!!!

hey MCAT-takers,
just wanted to drop in a line and wish you all good luck. my tips to you all - i have taken them twice and i worked at kaplan for a year...
1)till the exam stay away from everybody that makes you nervous about the exam...for me the most nerve wrecking thing was when ppl asked me my scores on the diags...DO NOT COMPARE YOUR SCORES TO YOUR PEERS!!! thats for the medicals schools to do and at that time they will be looking at your whole application!
2)stay focused and make a list of things you are weak in and concentrate on that for a week or so...than reveiw everything at least once so you dont forget your strengths.
3)buy a timer and take all your diags from this point on with it (if you dont do so already)
4)the thing that helped me the most was to study/take the diag at the same time of the test...so waking up at 6--reading newspaper/passages in the morning and then studying from 8-12, lunch 12-1 and then studying 1-5. i understand this is hard to do with school.
5)dont stress, just remain focused and stop worrying about the result...
you guys will do great!!! contact me if you have any questions :)

Hey what DO schools do u guys wanna go to?•••••Hey ANT!!! I am in the same boat!!! I have been getting avg scores on the practice exams but I am trying to relax and not worry about it at this point. I figure its all in God's hands from this point on and I have done everything that I should have as far as preparing is concerned. GOOD LUCK everyone!!!!

My advice: Don't take the damn thing if your not ready or take it and cancel them the day of the test if you think you did poorly. If you simply don't release them the day of the test schools will know you took it and want to know the scores. I think its better to take it in Aug than to f-itup in April.

yeah i feel the same way. my gpa is good but the mcats are giving me such a problem. i've been getting 20's on the practice ones. grrr the MCATs suck!!! ANyway, i wish you luck and if anyone has advice on how to stay motivated and study... let me know. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

I'm in the same boat - I've been getting ready for this since our December break, and I STILL don't feel ready! In fact, my scores have gotten worse. I hope I have a good idea how it goes on the test day - sometimes I take a full length test and think I did great only to find out that I did awful!

The thing that gets my goat is that I seem to get all of the relevant, medically related questions right on the Kaplan and On-line MCAT practice tests. But then the next passage will be about some obtuse organic chemistry problem and I'll get 4 out of 5 right!! I'm a DPM and I've had all of the basic sciences and a lot of the clinical courses that pertain to being a doctor. But I just can't seem to commit these boring concepts of physics and chemistry to memory. I pretty much understand how the body works and what happens when it doesn't work, but I can't seem to understand friggin' dihalide reactions or Newtonian Mechanics!!!!

I'm getting 7's no matter what I do on the official MCAT practice tests given by the creators. Are these as hard or harder than the actual test? Are they like the Kaplan's?

Im not sure if you guys have checked out he AAMC website out concerning this year's MCAT but there are a few changes concerning the format of the exam. I think that I am going to contact them myself and ask them but check out the link.
