I've taken this quiz in the past and I always get gastroenterology as my #1. Even though I find neurology interesting, it's not a consideration of mine. Neither is radiation oncology. I thought cardiology would've ranked higher the second time as before instead of ninth with a 28.8. Another interest of mine is dermatology (before anyone gets on my case, it's because of personal reasons. I was not aware compensation was so high when I said I wanted to be a dermatologist at the age of thirteen) but last time I got 43.44, this time it moved up slightly to 36.32. Reflecting on my personal top five list, it doesn't really belong with the rest of my interests. I'm in no way tied to my feelings now, I'm sure I'll consider other specialties in med school. On a humorous note, the absolute last place specialty with a score of 77 was psychiatry. Good to know.

Huh. Interesting! Quiz 2 was cool. Strange that I got what I got though. I'm really interested in both Neuro and peds, and my number one came out to be Child Neurology (31.32), then Oncology (31.33), and then Neurology (33.54).

Nice. Not that I'm expecting that things will still be the same in 6 years, but it does seem to match what I want to do currently. Pretty good tool.

Ophthalmology is by far the specialty I'm most interested in, so that's nice to see the compatibility quiz match my own interests. But I also wonder how much "self-fulfilling prophecy" is going on. I feel like for many of the questions, I was almost imagining how I would answer them from the perspective of an ophthalmologist, so of course in the end I would be compatible. I definitely wasn't trying to game the assessment to get specific specialties, but I do feel like there was some subconscious influence on my answers, so.......grain of salt.
