I had a stomach ulcer back in 2002 and took antibiotics for six months. I haven't had any re-occurrences since. Would this disqualify me for service?

My recruiter told me to check NO for stomach ulcer at MEPS, but i don't feel comfortable lieing.

Never lie. It can come back to bite you, and then you have pergery to deal with. Many things can be waived. I have no idea about an ulcer - worse case scenario after going for your physical you may have to get a letter from your doctor so they can process the waiver.

This coming from a dentist - take it as you will. I do know an HPSP applicant that was able to get a waiver only having 1 kidney.

what about seasonal allegies? I take over the counter Claritin-D each spring, but again recruiter told me if was not neccessary to mention to the MEPS since he claims that my allergy is not life threatening.

Should I switch to another recruiter?

Seasonal allergies should not need a waiver - shouldn't be a big deal to mention it.

As far as switching - up to you. As long as he doesn't make you compromise your standards (just stand up to him/her) - go ahead and finish with them. If they make you feel uncomfortable and you don't want to deal with them, then switch (or pm me with your contact info and I can help).
