The UCSF Psoriasis and Skin Treatment Center has an opening for a full-time, year-long, clinical research assistant to start July 2017. The position is designed for medical students who would like to take time off to participate in clinical research. Under the mentorship of Dr. John Koo, Dr. Wilson Liao, and Dr. Tina Bhutani, the student will gain a thorough understanding of the design and conduct of clinical trials in addition to learning the art of using various therapeutic modalities in the treatment of psoriasis and other chronic dermatologic conditions. There is ample opportunity to contribute to scholarly projects in clinical dermatology and to co-author multiple manuscripts. Acceptance into this fellowship has no direct bearing on the chance of being accepted to the UCSF Dermatology residency program. However, the clinical research and the specialized clinical experience gained during the year are likely to greatly enhance one's credentials and previous research students have been successful in the dermatology match. This is an unfunded position.

Please direct all inquiries and CV’s to Dr. Tina Bhutani at [email protected]
