Meharry Acceptance?

I called Mr. Mosely & left him a message on his cell phone & then couple days after that I got an email of acceptance. snail mail arrived shortly after that. I hope this helps somebody

Sorry UVA, bad about followups... actually I wasn't put on any hold as far as I know, but I'm through with interviews. Time to start making my money back. Good luck!👍
 
I just interviewed today, I'll try to post news either way. The waiting is so painful!
 
I loved it, I'm planning on sending a letter of intent as well as my thank you notes.

I did, I liked him!!! I enjoyed his interviewing style.

Does anyone know if Meharry is done interviewing or do they go through April? Thanks.
 
He was a very friendly and genuine guy, I liked him too. I PMed you guys a question on the subject, if you don't mind...

I got an acceptance letter by mail. And I got an email confirming that they recieved my deposit.

You can try a letter of intent, if that's where you really want to go. Also, Mr. Mosley said that letters of intent are more effective if you've already been accepted to another school but want to go to Meharry instead.

Nope, no acceptance... waitlist seems like a way of life at this point.
 
Same here, interviewed 2/25 and i've been waitlisted since 3/22. Sent an update/intent letter a few weeks after my interview and we see how far that got me. However I spoke to Dr. Mosely at the SNMA conference in NY and was told to call after 4/15 to see if their was any movement off the waitlist. Just called the admissions last week to be told to wait a little longer because apparently Meharry has extended interviews until May....has anyone else recieved this news? It seems like if your on the waitlist u just have to be ready to say "how high" when Meharry asks you to "jump"...but what do u do in the meantime? Do you make plans, like break your lease, start packing, look for housing...i'm just confused about what to do in this time, and praciticing a lot of PATIENCE
 
They are interviewing thru early May! So thank God better late than never, I got extended an interview for May 2nd!!! Wish me luck guys and pray for me.

Carebear84 I am in the same boat as you. Inteviewed 4/4, waitisted 4/9. I really loved Meharry so I was bummed when I got waitlisted. Not sure what to do either. Hopefully we both get in in May! Oh and if anyone reads this and was in my interview group you guys were awesome and I would love to hear from you so PM me!

Aside from the "tell me about yourself" "why meharry" "why do you want to be a doctor" questions that everybody asks, I don't think they have set questions. The questions I was asked seemed to flow from our conversation. You can check out the interview feedback section for a look at what types of questions have been asked.

hey, I also got the same email around the same time but mine didn't include the postbac part. has anything changed.? do you/anyone know how the postbac works?.

they admit about 25 people and they have to reccomend you for the program, you can't apply for it directly. When I saw Mr. Mosley in April he said there's about 500 people they are considering, but they won't notify people unitl after 5/15. I'm 99% sure that if you maintain a certain GPA you are either guaranteed a seat in next years class or an interview (essentially like a conditional acceptance). It's a good opportunity for anyone who didn't recieve an acceptance this cycle. G'luck!

Is there anyone here that will be attending 08 postbac?
 
I am on the waitlist, have not heard anything yet, spoke to Mr. Mosley on May 7th and he said to wait till around June 1st. I don't know what this means. All I know is that I will need to move from Cali and would rather find out soon and not try to do a fly into Nashville night before classes start.🙁
 
I'm in the same boat with you DO2012. Plus i'll have to break my lease, which is going to have some heavy repercussions on my bank account, not too mention leave me with less than the standard 2-weeks notice to end my job. I'm getting close to shutting the door on Meharry, only because I have another opportunity with a conditional postbacc that would guarantee acceptance for the entering 2009 Class. But we'll have to wait some more and see what is the final outcome of all of this. However I really think they should've let us know something....
 
Does Meharry accept Out of State students?
