  1. Pre-Medical
Methodist (new MD), 207k tuition (247-40 (from school))
Pros:
- MD school
- P/F classes
- closer to home (NC resident)
- next to home hospital for rotations
- much smaller class size
- only need to take step
- since MD, chance for more competitive specialites, but still a new MD

Cons:
- Fayetteville (lol)
- new school so no match data
- no step pass rates/ graduation rates
- new faculty but looks like a lot of them have established some med schools

Nova (established DO), 286k tuition
Pros:
- established so has match list
- more reputable
- better city/town because Fort Lauderdale

Cons:
- more expensive, also higher cost of living
- farther away from home
- OMM and graded classes
- really big class size
- would have to prob take both step and comlex
- since DO, no competitive specialties

I’d go with Nova. Inaugural class can be risky I’ve heard. For example, I’ve seen a lot of complaints online about the new Belmont medical school in Nashville, TN.

Is Nova not MORE expensive than Methodist?? Don't make things harder on yourself by going DO AND paying more money for it, especially if you want to match something competitive. Look at past threads about the same topic, the general consensus is almost always to go with the MD school. The only situation where it would make sense to pick DO, imo, is if it is significantly cheaper and you are dead set on a non comp specialty.

Yeah it is, I've updated my post with pros and cons and I'm thinking more Methodist haha

I'm in a similar boat. Accepted to KCU and Methodist. Every time I google this question, everyone always says "MD > DO always".

My biggest con with going to KCU is the OMM and having to take double sets of board. My cons list for Methodist looks very similar to yours, especially regarding the location. So much so that I'm debating on commuting almost 2 hours from the coast, just to live in a place where both my spouse and I can be happy. I have heard very poor things about Fayetteville

I applied and was accepted to Methodist, so I've done my research. I'd take Methodist over Nova. It's sort of pick your poison between OMM/Dual Boards/Stigma and inagural class. However, money differential you posted tips it for me.

Congrats!
