why is everyone up in arms about miami's new curriculum. is it really that bad? and if so how? or are we exaggerating like typical pre-meds

gotti17,

Recent acceptees are concerned because of the # of Core Principles conducted within the Basic Science Module (1st semester). It just seems kinda intimidating. Not including the longitudinal themes (EBM, Clinical Skills, Professionalism & Cultural Issues), the core disciplines include:

-Intro. to the Practice of Medicine
-Biochemistry/Molecular Biology
-Genetics
-Cell Biology/Embryology
-Histology
-Gross Anatomy
-Cellular Phys. and Biophys.
-Immunology
-Pathology
-Pharmacology
-Microbiology (with ID)

ouch.....
