I just received my acceptance letter...Yehaww!

I just received my acceptance letter...Yehaww!![]()
I just got an OOS acceptance via email about 45 minutes ago.
I am in the same boat. No email or letter yet. I talked to MSU CVM today and they said that emails and letters would continue to go out until the end of the month. However, I figure if I haven't been given good news yet, I probably won't get any (especially given the number of people accepted today).
I checked my email after you posted...I got accepted too! I had to run out to my car (I'm at work right now) and cry for a good five minutes and make the rounds of calls...I'm excited and I hope everyone who is waiting can hear the same good news! 🙂![]()
I don't run the group, Rachel does. She is pretty good about adding people quickly. My name is Michele. Do you know what welcome day you will be attending?Awesome! Thanks! I do not know if you run the group, but if you do I sent a request to join ... my name is Nicole Nelson!! Looking forward to getting to know you and our fellow classmates!

Looking at either going the 16th or the 30th ... how about you?
I'm new to this, but I got my Michigan State acceptance today.
Does anyone have any thoughts/info on the area/school/program (equine in particular)?
Thanks!
Can anyone tell me if you gain residency your 2nd year as an OOS??
they said at the welcome day last week that you can not gain residency at any point over the 4 years. you have to gain residency before you apply. she did say something about a scholarship or something they try and do to reduce the cost for non-residents but i didnt really pay attention when she went over it cause im in state. maybe someone else on here can speak more on that..?
August 27th, I believe.does anyone know when class starts? sometime in august?
No clue. You can call or email the admissions department and I'm sure they will let you know. Have you tried applying to the other OOS schools? MSU in general is difficult to gain admission to IS or OOS because of the SIS score process. So when does everyone think they will send out letters/emails next? Every other friday still? I thought maybe they would send out letters the same time as emails, but I haven't received anything. My best hope at this point is for the waiting list, otherwise I might apply to one of the caribbean schools or try applying to state next year and just work in lansing to get experience. Does anyone else have a caribbean school as a back up? 😕
Again, instead of posting and spreading rumors to initiate freak outs, I would call or email to verify this statement. So is this true...is down to just waitlisters that have not heard anything? They kind of deny that when you ask them....has someone else heard differently?

the only way to gain residency is to marry a resident. BUT, if you're a non-resident and you stay in michigan for at least one year right after graduation to work, you can get the OOS tuition difference for the last year of school back.
I was curious about residency too. I am getting married in a couple months, and my soon to be husband will be working in Michigan (assuming that's our final choice), so would that qualify me for residency? Should I email the school to ask?
I think all they're telling us is that notifications will be sent sometime before the end of the month, and that there are still some acceptances in that batch. Keep your fingers croseed! And you're not alone.Does anyone have any idea of when the last rounds of notifications will be sent out? I was kinda hoping it would be today since the last few seemed to go out on Thursdays and this was the last one of the month. I guess either way it will be soon. I got my fingers crossed we hear good news soon!![]()
I still haven't heard anything either. My husband and I are really anxious to hear from Michigan State, since it's my in state. I've been lucky enough to be accepted at Ohio State and Mississippi State, but would probably for sure go for the in state tuition at Michigan. We just want to know where we'll be so we can hurry up and move out of my parents basement....🙂 Here's hoping that we hear something tomorrow!
Anybody hear anything?? I still haven't and there is only one day left in this month! I'm getting super nervous...I just want to get in SOO badly!😕

Alright. So I called the admissions office today and this is what the woman said. We have until April 15th to hear something. I said sooo for people who are waitlisted or people still waiting to hear anything? And she said that they have a pile of applicants they still need to go through. They could get through them this week, they could get through them next week. But the latest you will hear from MSU will be April 15th. Anyone else a little mystified by this?!?! I'm half wondering if this is true (even though I heard it first hand), because that is just way too close to the deadline for comfort. Soo yep. There you go.
That makes no sense. Applicants have to accept invitations at schools by April 15th. Sounds like the woman you talked to today woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
