Micro Images for Boards.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I just passed AP/CP and I think Koneman goes a long way. I would also add the CDC parasitology website and the DoctorFungus website.

I thought the CP images section was the easiest section on CP, perhaps because studying for it consisted of looking at a lot of pictures rather than cramming esoteric material.

I think Koneman stinks, everyone yaps about it b/c its just been passed on down the ranks etc. I used Hart and Shear's Atlas of micro. Good tables too. Scope it out. :luck:

So Koneman's is truly all you need for Micro?

For sure very very useful. A vector is a vector but what I saw sure looked similar to the ones from the text. Also the black and white sketches from the compendium are useful too. In fact if you have the compendium close to memorized, you will go far.

Koneman's is probably overkill for just the microbiology component of CP. But, if you know it, you're in pretty good shape. Useful during your actual microbiology rotation. I would have preferred to use it less and some good modern atlas more, particularly for review.
