What information on microscopes are we expected to know for the mcat?

never came up while I studied using kaplan, khan, or any AAMC material. So none. but as you study physics, you'll realize you have to understand doppler ultrasound, etc. but nothing explicit about light micorscope vs whatever else

I only saw a couple questions on microscopes, I think in the TBR books. It might have been a practice exam, cuz it's all a blur now. They were simple questions about which type of lens and relative sizes of images. There's also something about scaling power in an AAMC practice question somewhere. I used the TBR summary for converging lenses and mirrors versus diverging lenses and mirrors (best thing I've ever seen for this topic) and was able to answer every lens or mirror question I saw from all the different resources. Know that chart, and it won't matter what lens, mirror, or device they give.
