Lol I found this thread today, after the interview yesterday. But I was there too! I was in the second group of people to interview as well, group #5. We probably totally ran into each other haha

I was in group 4. HAHA we might have had a talk while snaking those granola bars lmao

for those of you who interviewed, any tips? >.< i'm really worried about the whole group interview style. did people just go around the table and take turns? or was it more a free-for-all? :scared:

Just relax, it's very low stress. My group was a free for all but we were all civilized. Just study the interview feedback and have some personal experiences to draw from when they ask you a question. I guess the whole interview experience really depends on who you get as your interviewer. My interviewers were awesome! They really made me feel comfortable and were really passionate about the school. I had a very positive experience with the whole interview process.

Group 2 anyone? 😀

I'm definitely the nervous type when it comes to interviews, but the interviewers made it more pleasant 🙂 I was in a group of 5 and there were 2 interviewers. Even though they asked questions and were writing down our responses, it felt more like a conversation. The interview was about an hour, but time flew by and I think they asked only 4 to 5 questions, including a tell-me-about-yourself intro question. And say you have no idea how to answer a question, other people can go first so you have time to think.

What really helped with me being in the second group of interviews was I got to chit-chat with the other people before it was our time. It helped me to calm down a bit.

Were you the one who came all prepared for the Chi-town weather? jk jk

haha I def wasnt prepared. Did anybody get a chance to see the on campus housing? On campus might be convenient but I do want there to be a bunch of rules and stuff. What do you guys think?

I live in Redwood II and it's a single bedroom with a shared bathroom. So far, it is super convenient and you meet a lot of people in your class. It's also nice that there's free parking for the students.

Downside: unless you live in Birch/Aspen/Dogwood or Redwood basement, the kitchen sucks. Communal fridge is small; almost everyone has a microwave & fridge in their rooms.

Don't rely on Commons for food because they're open for lunch and dinner at very specific times. **TIP: do not load your munch money (commons cafe and common ground, only) too much. The amount you sign up for is for that amount, that quarter. Any unused amount will disappear; and a renewed amount is added on the card.

When's the next interview dates for you?
p.s. Happy Thanksgiving 🙂

Anyone interviewing on Nov 30th? Just received a invitation for interview on this date.

I have a question/dilemma. I was invited to interview on Nov. 30, but I can't attend that interview date. I sent an email to the office and they replied that I would have to check when other dates would be announced on the portal website. They also said that they cannot guarantee a spot in the remaining interview dates. Would I receive an email when they announce the new dates, or would I need to check the website periodically to see if new dates are posted? Has anyone ever been in this situation? Thank you! 🙂

I didn't receive any emails about new dates. Just keep checking the portal periodically and new dates may appear.

I got emails when they opened up new dates...twice. I finally could go Nov. 30! Just hang in there, there will be one you'll be able to attend 🙂

Pls help! I can't make up my mind what school is a better choice: Midwestern or Rosalind Franklin? I know, the last one is not accredited yet, but they have great faculty and experience in the medical field..... Need some thoughts here 🙂

I have, but I don't know if I should keep that date, it's so soon.

new date opened for a Dec 14th interview. I already scheduled for the Nov 30th one so I'll be going to that one. Hope to see some of you guys there!

I scheduled for the Dec 14 interview. Thank you for all of your help! 🙂

Well, I finally sent in the $1,000 deposit... a bittersweet moment 😀

Turned down my acceptance so that will open up another spot for one of you! Good luck to those still waiting or interviewing soon!

Hi everyone,

Anybody here from Nov 9, or 16 interview who got accepted? I know they said after thxgiving but sometimes they let you know earlier.

Haven't heard anything either 🙁 and I was in the Nov 9th interview

I was interviewed on the 9th too. I haven't heard back anything yet 🙁

i interviewed on the 16th and if i remembered correctly, they said the admissions committee was meeting this friday so we should know by next monday (11/28)!

can someone tell me about the interview day? what time does the day start? and what time does it end?

i'm thinking about flying in on a red eye, arriving at chicago ohare around 6am and then using public transportation to get to the school....and leaving that night around 8pm.

I have a quick question about the housing... according to the floor plan, the 2-bedroom suites with the shared bathroom and living area in Redwood 2 are 4-person occupancies, which seems to imply 2 people per room, but I thought Midwestern only offered private rooms... or are the suites 2x2 bedrooms with the shared bathroom(s)?

Seems to be pretty clear that those rooms are double occupancy in Redwood 2 (meaning 2 people per room, 4 people total). I wouldn't be surprised if you could pay more to have one of those rooms to yourself as a single, however.

Goodluck candidates! :luck:

I haven't posted the lunch menu yet because they haven't emailed it out to the students yet. We're all just coming back from Thanksgiving Break. Tomorrow's the first day of Winter Qtr. Also, excuse us if it's crowded in the Commons, everyone's most likely be trying to get to the bookstore to get our course packets.

Dress WARM! Tuesday is suppose to rain (or snow) so Wednesday will be cold 🙁
Low: 26 degrees

All of the first-year pharmacy students won't be on-campus at all because it'll be our first day of community rotations. Wish us a good first day 😀

Remember: review SDN's interview feedback, dress warm, be yourself, enjoy the interview, think before you speak, and definitely chat with the other candidates beforehand. Relax.
You GOT this! 🙂

Anybody with acceptance? Do you think we will hear anything today? They said after thxgiving. It is after thanxgiving!! 😉

Not sure if you have tried this yet, but you can check your online.midwestern.edu account for an "accepted student checklist" and "matriculation payment" form and that means you have been accepted. I and a few others used this to find out we were accepted a few days before receiving letters.

There should be an actual checklist. Everyone can see the link, but the link doesn't show anything unless you've been accepted. Hope that helps!

Thank you, yes I have been checking like crazy. I had my interview in November and since I don't see anything in the portal wanted to check and see if others already have an acceptance on portal. Thanks again. 🙂🙂

I interviewed on November 9th and I still haven't heard back anything :/ I am so NERVOUS😕😕

I can't believe I might have to reschedule the interview tomorrow due to the weather in Chicago. High winds delaying all flights and already some are canceled 🙁

Anyone else in the same boat?
