Anyone who's waitlisted (then accepted)????? Did you guys hear from the AdComs on anything?
 
I was waitlisted.....and the wait is killing me I really want to get in to this school. I interviewed in December, and I remember the Adcom pulls from the waitlist every time they meet if I'm not mistaken
 
My friend was wait listed and taken off the wait list about 2 months later.

Many of us will be hearing back the first week of February...maybe you will too. 🙂

How do you know first week of Feb? I just had interview few days ago

Well I interviewed on January 11th, and they said we'll be hearing back the first week of Feb.
 
I really really hope that we will be able to check our portals next week and perhaps receive the physical letter on the first week of February. =D

So how exactly does the portal change if you are accepted? I can see the accepted student check list on the left as a link but it loads nothing if I click on it. Am I accepted?

No. Not yet at least.

If you see an actual checklist with the status of your matriculation agreement/deposit, a list of documents/transcripts to submit, and your prerequisite completion status.. then you're accepted. Eventually, you'll also get a lump of text in the "Matriculation/Payment" link, that congratulates you and asks for money.
 
If Midwestern starts asking you for 1000 dollars then you'll know you're in.

Attn current MWU CCP students!! What do you like and not like about MWU?? Please try not to be biased … if thats even possible. I would really like to know your opinions because it would help me in making my decision. Thank you in advance!!

Look at the Interview page for this school on this site. The questions from late 2012 were basically the same from my interview (1/11/2013).

Btw. I checked my portal and I've been accepted! Unfortunately, I won't be going here 🙁 (But that means there's 1 more open seat! Have hope, waitlisters!) 🙂

No I did not hear anything in between the alternate letter in November and the acceptance letter today via email . Interviewed in October .
 
How does portal look if you've been accepted to Glendale campus as well? Cause it only shows Glendale

Well, on the home page, you'll have two Accepted Student Checklists.

The Matriculation/Payment tab will say "You have been accepted to more than one program. Please use the option below to view the matriculation agreement for your desired program." and then there will be a drop down menu to select which campus. Same thing for Accepted Student Checklist page.

Not really. MWU doesn't really reject anyone. At least they don't 99% of the time. Usually, if you qualify for an interview and don't get accepted right away, they just put you on the waitlist. Then you could get in any time they review applicants after that. I would say that with your stats that you probably won't get off of the waitlist until close to the end of the cycle though. I only say that because a friend of mine had low stats too and she got in but it wasn't until like a month before school started. So there's no guarantees of anything. There's lots of factors involved though and she did a lot to prove her worthiness and desire. So there's no guarantees but I'm just saying that it is not necessarily a rejection unless you actually get a rejection letter from them. Odds are though you'll probably get a waitlist letter like most people who aren't immediately accepted to MWU.

Ya i was hoping i had decent chance after getting into Glendale campus. Is that one easier to get into?

Thanks! And I'm sure you'll be hearing from them soon enough considering the admissions committee just recently met. I also got into Roosevelt but thankfully MW responded fast enough so I didn't have to pay Roosevelt's deposit. 😛

I'm not sure if Glendale is easier to get into... a friend of mine received a rejection from Glendale, but was just accepted to the Chicago campus. I guess it just depends on what each campus is looking for in a candidate and their perception of your interview.

I feel like interviews are just a game of luck. You are assigned to a certain interview group and each group are asked different questions. Since these are group interviews, you might also get unlucky/lucky with the interviewees you're grouped with too.
 
I submitted my app in December and still haven't heard anything positive or negative. Are they still offering interviews does anyone know?
 
Yes, they are. I got my interview invitation on January 31st... two days after I submitted supplemental.
I scheduled 02/13
 
Anyone interview on feb 1st? People that got accepted how long does it take to get an acceptance?
 
I interviewed second week of January (1/9) and got my acceptance (via portal change) (1/31).
 
I also interviewed 1/9 and got accepted 1/31 the board usually meets at the end of the month so it might be a couple of weeks before you hear back
