Thanks Ghady. Good luck if u are still waiting
Hey Sandoz, did u get accepted? one of the guys in out interview date got accepted this morning. Dbango, Congratulations....
I think my letter MUST have been lost in the mail. I STILL haven't received notice of my status. I called on monday and they said all the letters went out, but they wouldn't give me any more info. I feel like I'm always last to find things out......
I'd say if you still haven't received the letter by Dec 23, you can call them again and tell them that you haven't received it. That should give ample of time for the letter to arrive if it hasn't gotten lost. Technically, it should take 3 days for the mail to arrive from coast-to-coast. I guess by now you should know if you have gotten accepted or not via Interact, but it would be nice for you to know your status.
How was your interview at Hawaii?
I thought the interview went fine. Since the interview was in Vegas, I still prefer to check out the campus in Hawaii beforehand if I get accepted. Congrats on your acceptance today!
They said if there is any change in your circumstance (rem. winning the nobel prize), they may reconsider your application espercially if you are on the waiting list. i dont know about jan. pcat but i guess if u do extraordinary well, then u can argue from that angle. But hey, u never know, they might even pull u out of the list b4 that. good luck and keep pushing. Let them know u as a person who is really interested in their programme and not just pharmacy school. keep the faith alive and dont quench the spirit. Good luck
Just declined my admissions offer...good luck to u guys still waiting!!
It was a hard choice because I fell in love with the area and campus..but I'll always be a california girl at heart and I just can't leave 🙂
Congrats on getting accepted to Western! Yea, I would do the same thing if I was in your shoes. I submitted my app for Western right before the deadline, so I didn't make it for the Dec 6 interview (assuming that they sort of had rolling admission). When I was there at the interview, I was really impressed and liked the campus area. 🙂
Do they front-load the interview cycle with out-of-state applicants? Have any Illinois residents interviewed yet?
Who else interviewed on Nov. 12th, in group 4, and got accepted ???
Who else interviewed on Nov. 12th, in group 4, and got accepted ???
I interviewed Nov 12th and was accepted 😀, but I was in group 1.
And for one of the other questions asked, I am also in state, not out of state!
Who else interviewed on Nov. 12th, in group 4, and got accepted ???
Who were you? I was in group 4 as well. There was 6 of us, correct?
I think you got the wrong group. I interviewed with 3 girls and 3 guys, however, the interviewers were two women: one who taught pharmacy calculations, and the other who specializes in compounding pharmacy. lol... maybe you were in the 3rd or 5th groups?Yes, there were 3 guys and then 3 girls in a circle, then the male professor and then the biochem female professor.
There was a guy in my group who already got a degree from Midwestern and now was applying for Pharmacy. And there's been a girl who had a dream about becoming a pharmacist.
I was also interview on nov 12, group four. I was the asian guy on the corner.

I was the filipino girl across from you guys. I left the luncheon to go have lunch with my friend. I go to school in Detroit, and my parents finally got my alternate list letter in California. I think my PCAT (70, because of reading) had a lot to do with it. 🙁Which girl were you? Are you planning to attend Midwestern CCP?
finest drug(idk ur name) did u get accepted? and whats ur stats
I thought you did amazing in your interview (you sat across from the chef, right?... I thought you would get in definitely since you were talking to one of our interviewers as we left. Honestly, I thought our group was the strongest since we were in there for a little over an hour.i was placed on the alternate list. my stats werent that great.
i dont have a degree, pre-req gpa 3.4, pcat 62, pharm tech at hosp since may 08. some other volunteer works, tutor, nursing home etc.
finest drugs, what pharm exp and volunteer works did you have.
I am really bummed that I was placed on the alternate list. I would give you $1,000 just so that I could be accepted!!! I think I have a bigger dilemma than you

Hey guys! I was wondering how many questions will the adcom ask for the group interview? According to the feedback section, there were about 3 or 4 questions asked for a group of 6 students in an approximate 60-minute time frame. Does this mean that each student has an average of 10 minutes to speak in total? I'm not sure whether to keep my answers short and to the point or elaborate on them. Any insights will be greatly appreciated.
I can't speak for others, but for my interview there were about 4 or 5 questions. I did not elaborate on my answers but I wish I did. I wanted to give other people time to speak but you should elaborate. My interview was horrible. Other people's went good though. I guess it depends on who you get. 🙂Oh, by the way, it was about a 25-30min interview and it goes by fast!
^^Mine was about 30 mins too, and everyone pretty much HAD the opportunity to go first. But, I never went first...I actually felt like it helped me because the ones that did go first in my group seemed as if they didn't think it out and didn't really answer the question that was being asked. Whereas I heard their response and had time to see what they did right/wrong by the look of the interviewers and adjust my answer accordingly.
Also make sure u listen closely to what the dean says right before u interview...I took a lot of key notes out of it and made sure to bring them up during the interview.
This is coming from the underdog of the group with the others talking about their 3.8+ gpas and 90+ PCAT scores. It really intimidated me because my stats aren't that great and it was my first interview. But it really showed me that u just need CONFIDENCE in yourself and you will do fine!!
Any other questions u can PM me :]
