Nice Dibango,

Hope ill get accepted too once I complete my january pcat. :xf:

I thought Midwestern will only consider the October PCAT???

I still haven't received a letter or anything from them... this sucks 🙁

They said if there is any change in your circumstance (rem. winning the nobel prize), they may reconsider your application espercially if you are on the waiting list. i dont know about jan. pcat but i guess if u do extraordinary well, then u can argue from that angle. But hey, u never know, they might even pull u out of the list b4 that. good luck and keep pushing. Let them know u as a person who is really interested in their programme and not just pharmacy school. keep the faith alive and dont quench the spirit. Good luck

hey xshooshix, i know how u feel. take it easy and concentrate on wayne. u will get into one of your schools. my time for the interview is 11:30. so i guess i go after you. i want to explore my options b4 i make my final decision.
good luck

I called the school and they said that they will look at my jan pcat since i also have the aug pcat in the record. By the way Dibang, did you send a letter of intent or do anything different for them to accept you?

nope MikeNB. I guess its becos of my oct pcat.

Hey Sandoz, did u get accepted? one of the guys in out interview date got accepted this morning. Dbango, Congratulations....

Thanks for telling me that I should check my status again! I checked the other day and there was nothing, but I looked again just now and I was accepted! Now comes the gamble... do I pay $1000 to reserve a spot at my not top choice school or just assume I will be accepted somewhere else? Yikes! At least I have a couple weeks to figure that out, I guess.

Woot! I got accepted today from wating list. I had interview on oct 14 and was waitlisted. However, i was accepted from other schools and i will not go to midwestern.

For those whose were waitlisted. Check your account. Last day to pay is jan 08. I declined my acceptance today! good luck.

Congrats to those who have just gotten accepted from the alternate list! Mine hasn't changed yet, but hopefully it changes sometime next year for those who are still waiting! :luck:

I think my letter MUST have been lost in the mail. I STILL haven't received notice of my status. I called on monday and they said all the letters went out, but they wouldn't give me any more info. I feel like I'm always last to find things out......

I'd say if you still haven't received the letter by Dec 23, you can call them again and tell them that you haven't received it. That should give ample of time for the letter to arrive if it hasn't gotten lost. Technically, it should take 3 days for the mail to arrive from coast-to-coast. I guess by now you should know if you have gotten accepted or not via Interact, but it would be nice for you to know your status.

How was your interview at Hawaii?

How was your interview at Hawaii?

I thought the interview went fine. Since the interview was in Vegas, I still prefer to check out the campus in Hawaii beforehand if I get accepted. Congrats on your acceptance today!

I just found out my contributions to the research work I mentioned in my interview is going to be published. Should I mention this in my letter of intent? I haven't gotten around that because how do I know if I got waitlisted or not without a letter from the school. AH! I don't know what to do. 🙁

I don't know if I want to take the PCAT again... but I guess I will have to use my winter break to study for that test if they said they are going to take a look at it.

Just declined my admissions offer...good luck to u guys still waiting!!

It was a hard choice because I fell in love with the area and campus..but I'll always be a california girl at heart and I just can't leave 🙂

Congrats on getting accepted to Western! Yea, I would do the same thing if I was in your shoes. I submitted my app for Western right before the deadline, so I didn't make it for the Dec 6 interview (assuming that they sort of had rolling admission). When I was there at the interview, I was really impressed and liked the campus area. 🙂

hey sandoz, i am going through the same problem. my top choice schools will start their admission process in march and the last day to pay the abnormal 1000 dollars is jan 8. i am in limbo cos that is a lot of money espercially these days. but i guess i dont have much choice

I can't wait to check out Midwestern Chicago! I heard lots of good things about that school.... and like you, I applied to Western right before the deadline too. Haven't heard anything yet. I would love to even get an interview there, but then again, I dont mind going outta state. Haha..

Do they front-load the interview cycle with out-of-state applicants? Have any Illinois residents interviewed yet?

I'm in-state and I interviewed on 12/17. It was probably half in/half out of state.

in-state as well. interviewed on 11/17. only 3 in-state guys were in our batch. good luck illinigirl09. hope ur interview went well.

Who else interviewed on Nov. 12th, in group 4, and got accepted ???

I interviewed Nov 12th and was accepted 😀, but I was in group 1.

And for one of the other questions asked, I am also in state, not out of state!

I think I interviewed in that group on the 12th, and I am in-state, and i got accepted. I had a biochem female and Pharm Literature male professors interview our group.

congrats! i was also in group 1 that day. if i'm correct, i was sitting right across from you in the interview 🙂

i decided to decline my acceptance for midwestern-glendale though.

Who were you? I was in group 4 as well. There was 6 of us, correct?

Yes, there were 3 guys and then 3 girls in a circle, then the male professor and then the biochem female professor.
There was a guy in my group who already got a degree from Midwestern and now was applying for Pharmacy. And there's been a girl who had a dream about becoming a pharmacist.

I think you got the wrong group. I interviewed with 3 girls and 3 guys, however, the interviewers were two women: one who taught pharmacy calculations, and the other who specializes in compounding pharmacy. lol... maybe you were in the 3rd or 5th groups?

I was also interview on nov 12, group four. I was the asian guy on the corner.

I finally received my letter in the mail! I am an alternate, which I figured but it is great to know I was not rejected! I most likely will not end up attending if I do happen to get in though, since I already got accepted somewhere else. Good luck to everyone!

Which girl were you? Are you planning to attend Midwestern CCP?
I was the filipino girl across from you guys. I left the luncheon to go have lunch with my friend. I go to school in Detroit, and my parents finally got my alternate list letter in California. I think my PCAT (70, because of reading) had a lot to do with it. 🙁

finest drug(idk ur name) did u get accepted? and whats ur stats

Yes, I was accepted. You? I'm in a huge dilemma right now and I'm not sure if I want to make the $1000 deposit because I've been accepted at another school. I have untilJan 8th to make a decision.

Overall GPA: 3.61
B.S. Biological Sciences
PCAT Composite: 79....I think

How bout you?

Anyone from group 2 accepted?

I thought you did amazing in your interview (you sat across from the chef, right?... I thought you would get in definitely since you were talking to one of our interviewers as we left. Honestly, I thought our group was the strongest since we were in there for a little over an hour.

no way, i thought you were one of the one who got in bc you were talking about all your experience like the navy. i felt left out because it seem like everyone had a bachelor degree.

3 yrs Hospital Pharm tech and a few hours of community service.... I know I was the weakest at the interview bc I didn't say half as much as both you and shooshix. It just shows how much consideration they put into the interview when evaluating applicants. Gl to both of you.

Just for the heck of it, since you guys posted your stats already

PCAT scores:
Composite 70
Reading 33
Math 56
Verbal 78
Biology 78
Chemistry 82
Essays 3/3

You think they will put into consideration that I know my english given my higher scores (plus interview essay and supplementals) other than reading??

Overall GPA 3.4 (because I took business/art courses when I went to Art school in NY my first two years in college) my overall GPA at Wayne State is 3.63.

BA in Food and Nutrition Science in the summer of '09.

Hey guys! I was wondering how many questions will the adcom ask for the group interview? According to the feedback section, there were about 3 or 4 questions asked for a group of 6 students in an approximate 60-minute time frame. Does this mean that each student has an average of 10 minutes to speak in total? I'm not sure whether to keep my answers short and to the point or elaborate on them. Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

I can't speak for others, but for my interview there were about 4 or 5 questions. I did not elaborate on my answers but I wish I did. I wanted to give other people time to speak but you should elaborate. My interview was horrible. Other people's went good though. I guess it depends on who you get. 🙂 :luck: Oh, by the way, it was about a 25-30min interview and it goes by fast!

Oh really?? 25-30 min for the whole group interview? Most of the feedbacks stated that it was between 45-60 minutes. Did everyone have a chance to go first at least once? Thanks for the reply!

^^Mine was about 30 mins too, and everyone pretty much HAD the opportunity to go first. But, I never went first...I actually felt like it helped me because the ones that did go first in my group seemed as if they didn't think it out and didn't really answer the question that was being asked. Whereas I heard their response and had time to see what they did right/wrong by the look of the interviewers and adjust my answer accordingly.

Also make sure u listen closely to what the dean says right before u interview...I took a lot of key notes out of it and made sure to bring them up during the interview.

This is coming from the underdog of the group with the others talking about their 3.8+ gpas and 90+ PCAT scores. It really intimidated me because my stats aren't that great and it was my first interview. But it really showed me that u just need CONFIDENCE in yourself and you will do fine!! :luck:

Any other questions u can PM me :]

Is the interact website still not working for you guys? I've returned to stalk that site, but it still says that the web page is unavailable. I hope they're taking that time to post more acceptances! 😉
