It is!! I work there so I would be harassed to no end if I didn't apply lol. Thanks for the heads up, those type of questions are fine. I wasn't sure if I was going to be asked to write a mini research paper on a topic I didn't have much knowledge about. But since that doesn't sound like the nature of it, I'm glad I can at least relax a little 🙂
 
For those who interviewed on Nov 4, they haven't even looked at our stuff yet so we'll probably hear something late next week if it's good news.
 
Do you think it is due to the fact that we interviewed on a test day? Did you have to call to find out?

Hm I have no idea, but I remember someone saying that there was barely any classes this week so that may have something to do with it. I emailed them and got a reply a couple of hours later.

According to their current class schedule, there are classes that day. It's a pretty big testing day I believe. Since MWU isn't a public school, they do not need to abide by usual public school holidays. Many places (companies, etc) are open on Veteran's Day and then take the day after Thanksgiving off in lieu of it.

Jogbe001 and I are going to meet up Thursday early evening after he gets into town. My thought was that if we show up on interview day with familiar faces in the crowd, it would greatly lessen the stress. Are you interested? Let me know.

They just got my pcat so I'm waiting for an interview invite still, but I would like to know the answer to this as well lol I ball regularly. Also, does anyone know if there is a kickboxing/boxing gym near the campus?

you competitive? I just casually play with buddies and sometimes IM basketball. Please don't ball me up too bad, I don't want to get depressed over basketball on top of pharmacy stress.

Oh don't worry one of my top questions is gonna be about im basketball. I ball alot, so it would be sad if they didnt have it
 
they have a pretty nice indoor court, so if they dont have IM basketball I'm sure we can organize something our own. cant be too hard to find 10 guys, or girls if they are down for it

I think I talk way too much.
Our thread is 19 pages strong and other schools barely have 5. Those with many pages are cheaters that used last years thread and continued.

Wantobepharm- I played in highschool but last 2-3 years just for fun. Now Im playing football in my free time during this time of year. But it really shouldn't be hard getting a 5 on 5 or 4 on 4 game going of bball. Man I really hope i get in here.
 
I havent played competitive since I graduated...so rusty now when just casual playing.

It'll be really fun if we all get together and ball and good for getting rid of the stress too lol

When I woke up Tues morning it was 40F. Just two weeks before the high was 110F. A seventy degree temperature swing in that short of time is ridiculous.

There are outdoor courts and a volleyball court as well.

I'm not tall, but since I'm chinese and my friends are short I usually play PF or SF.

As far as weather goes... It is over 110 for only about half of the year..... Just sayin'

Hey don't get me wrong, I love hot weather. Just don't enjoy playing basketball in that temperature.

Hey I've heard that there is a spot on this site for questions discussed at interviews and people's interview experiences, but can't seem to find it; I have seen the interview feedback stats on the reference materials tab for the site, but it doesn't discuss anything specific I must be missing something...

Out of curiosity, why are some of you choosing Midwestern-Glendale over some of the other 3yr programs (LECOM and Pacific Oregon in particular)?

I ask because I just got several interview invites (including Midwestern), so trying to decide which ones to prioritize or decline if possible. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated.
 
I just got an email for an interview invite today and chose the Nov 14th date. 🙂

I'm from california so LECOM do not appeal to me at all since Midwestern is right next door. Oregon Pacific is good but the class size is small and Oregon is slightly farther. Also, I think I looked at the job index in Oregon, not as good as Arizona. (May be wrong)

Plus I really like having a campus, most of these schools are just a building...if I want to spend 3 years stuck in a building I'd just go work for the coprorate world. Haha part joking.
 
how long after your guys application was marked complete did you get an interview date? I got the email 2 days ago that my application was complete and now being reviewed.
 
After i submitted my supplemental and my application was complete, i heard that i was invited for an interview within about 12 hours. Super fast, they must have had nothing to do that day! 😀
 
I got my interview invite 1 day after receiving the email saying my application was completed.
