Might miss letter deadline

I wanted to ask some adcoms or someone who had more experience with this than I. For AACOMAS, I put a date down for my committee letter that was pre approved with my advisor etc. Turns out he won't have the letters in by the date he gave me when I submitted and has left the state for the next week or two. What happens if he doesn't submit the letters by the date I put in my application?

I'm worried I might not be able to apply then, is that the case?
