Hi, I'm new to this forum, but I think it's a pretty helpful place to be.
I was reading the Texas medical school information that is easily found on the TMDSAS site, and I saw that they actually have a minimum required grade in pre-reqs. When I looked around at other medical school sites like WashU in St. Louis and Medical College of GA, among others, I didn't see such a clause.
" Must earn a grade of C or better. "
My question: Does this mean a straight C or better or does a C- also qualify as a C grade? I think it would be weird not to allow application of a student if a C- is the passing grade at his/her university. Obviously it's not a great grade, but if you have to have a C or better then you would have to re-take a course that you technically passed at the university level. Does anyone know about this or have applied with C- grade(s) and been accepted? Is this just Texas schools? If I re-take a course that I made a C- in will that then allow me to apply, or am I barred forever from Texas schools?
Thanks!
