Miscalculated hours on AMCAS

Irresponsible, I know 🙁

I calculated my hours for some activities and realized I multiplied by the wrong numbers.... I ended up overstating hours with up to 50% error.

Anyone ever experience this and have any suggestions on how I should notify all my schools? Just an email to the Admissions office?

Stop worrying, you'll be fine. If it's an activity that you're currently involved in, continue it. Otherwise, don't worry about it. They really don't care too much about the numbers, just as long as you pass the "threshold" of hours obtained.

I also did that. I'm not worrying about it unless they give an option to update, where I include corrected hours. I doubt it is a big deal though.

I failed to account for the weeks of holidays, program breaks, etc...those weeks ended up accumulating since they were long term involvements and as a result the high % error.
The guilt is crippling.
