Good Evening!

I did a search on moonlighting in the forums but could not find an answer to the following question: What are names of companies that offer moonlighting opportunities?

In other words, companies that advertise on behalf of various employers (hospitals, urgent care offices, organizations that sponsor sports physicals, etc).

While it is possible to call up each location separately, it would be more time effective to visit web sites that post current jobs on behalf of various employers.

I believe I have seen a couple of websites but I thought it would be helpful to post current companies listing moonlighting opportunities for all to see 👍

Congrats to everyone...almost done with another year of residency!!

Start your own website for this as it doesn't really exist.

Recruiters recruit for high paying jobs because they take a cut. A moonlighter can pick up 1 shift/month, so there is no money in the recruiting industry for this usually. A company would need to be short many moonlighting shifts to become desperate enough to use a service.

Most recruiters run you through a rat maze anyway of trying to figure out the facility, pay, etc. If they tell you too much, you might contact the company without going through them = they lose money.

Right now it is easiest to contact individual companies yourself. If you are willing to spend a few hundred hours on this, you could start a free moonlighting job site and attract people.

When you moonlight as a resident either you go talk to the local urgent care folks or your attendings approach you with job opportunities. You have to carry your own malpractice policy to protect yourself.
