has anyone ever taught for kaplan or the princeton review? i'm thinking of doing one of these on a very (very) part-time basis in order to earn a little extra cash. i was thinking 4 hours a week, tops. i was wondering if anyone has ever done this, whether it was lucrative, and whether preparation (ie, for classes) took up a lot of time (and if so, were you compensated?)

i think it would actually be a good way to work on my teaching skills, and i think i would actually enjoy it . . .

anyway, if anyone has any experience, please let me know!

The first time you teach it the time commitment is pretty significant. But once you already have your lesson plans written out and have a class or two under your belt, its not a lot of work to teach and its good money. I started teaching my senior year when i had some extra time on my hands, and am continuing in med school...at least for M1...
