I want more practice with CBT tests. I already have AAMC 8-10, are the previous ones worth it? What would you guys recommend? Are the Gold Standard really worth the price? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks!

yes I think the AAMCs are all worth it, as many people have said, those are the best predictors of your score on the actual thing, they maybe easier than the real thing, but the tough curve usually makes it end up being the same score you get on the real thing. I haven't taken the real thing yet, but I did AAMCs #3, 5, 7, 9. and my scores ranged from 30-33, so they all seem to be about the same difficulty and what not.

I wonder if it would be ok to just work with 1001 examkrackers book if you complete all AAMCs and still need practise.

I got all AAMC tests and scores ranged from a 26 - 34. After about 2 low test score was i think a 29. The first two were low due to learning better timing. Average was about a 30 when all was said and done. Lol. I used the first 5 Kaplan tests. Ranged from 24-30 very sporadically. No trend really. Also did the examcrackers ones that came with the books. Averaged around 28-31s I believe. I am not sure on these but I remember doind decent on most of them.

Actual score, was a 31. Kaplan was by far the worst tests but if you learned to do well on them, you would do well on the MCAT math wise. Examcrackers was sorta like the real one. verbal was too easy. take that for what its worth

as the previous posters said go through the aamc exams first before you head over to other companies. even though 3-7 are like "older", they're actual aamcs. what you can do is save 8-10 for when you get closer to your test date and take those exams then and go through all the aamcs and any other exams you get before that.
