Is there a medical specialty that seems to attract the most "intellectual" students? Not necessarily the smartest, but the ones you'd characterize as the deepest thinkers?

The most intellectual physicians I've met are in neurology, pathology, nephrology, and cardiology. But pretty much all the physicians I've met are damn smart.
You haven't met enough. Keep working 😉
Nephrology and ID around my neck of the woods.

Haha, yes, all docs are "smart." But really? hahahahaha

I was actually defending youRight, jump in with your well chosen words.
Whatevs, you're a med student, good luck sounding so smart as an intern. I've written some great posts on the topic you should check out because you're going to need the help. Everybody does.

I met a couple of interns this year who had the whole valley girl thing going on. Turns out they are both integrated plastic surgery interns.
