When secondaries ask us to talk about a most meaningful community service activity.... does it have to be the same as the ones we designated on our app? Cause I feel like I already talked a bunch about that in my primary. I'd rather expand more on another meaningful activity but idk if it means talk more about the ones that were designated

Im also curious about this.
From what Ive read, secondaries are supposed to be like primary but just worded differently. Is that right? @Goro @gonnif @Catalystik

Keep in mind that the same reader may not have access to both the Primary and the Secondary when essays are scored, so interpreting the prompt correctly is important.

"Most Meaningful" is a term that to me applies to whatever you designated as MM on either your TMDSAS or AMCAS application. If, OTOH, those words are not capitalized, then it does not. If the former, then expand on your topics already discussed in the Primary application, but as @Engrailed said, use different vocabulary, organization, and maybe anecdotes (so definitely DO NOT copy and paste the other essay). If the latter, then you may be free to pick another activity to discuss.

I'm a firm believer that people should simply answer the question and not treat them as entrance exam questions to the PhD in Physics at Oxford.

I blame the advising companies who have the "every single sentence should say something new, meaningful, deep, and unique about you" mentality which makes the essays seem they're taken from Hemingway's Instagram account (if there were one).
