GRE (including date taken) or Other Test (if applicable): August 25, 2014; Very average scores (52% percentile), although math could have been better.
Experience/Research (please, be brief):
- Preclinical research experience in an academic lab for women's reproductive health (3 years).
- Data management and data analysis experience (quantitative and qualitative) with various employers (NGO, government, private biopharma, academic research) (6 years).
- I currently work at a large, global public health NGO on various projects including women's reproductive health, vaccine development, and health technologies (2.5 years). I have a broad range of experience (working at a not-for-profit will do that!) from outreach, program implementation/close-out, research, creation of survey tools, etc.
- Volunteer experience in tutoring refugee children in after school programs and; in advocacy and outreach for anti-trafficking legislation (2 years).
I have only applied to Tulane; I appreciate the research done at this institution and the possibilities for public health experience available in New Orleans. I applied through SOPHAS on December 15th and my application was verified on December 23. Tulane acknowledged receipt of my application on January 5. I am currently awaiting an admissions decision.
Does anyone have an idea of the turn-around on admissions decisions? I emailed Tulane on January 22; still no response. I do realize decisions can take several weeks, but the waiting is killing me!
